Course Summary
The students will work together to build a utility shed for the first semester construction project. The students will learn about blue print reading, foundations, floors, walls, and roofs.
During second semester, the students will construct a project that they can take home. The class will vote on the project and plan its construction. The students will get to choose the drawer fronts, moldings, stains, and finishes. Manufacturing techniques will be used to construct the project efficiently.

Additional Information
The students will need to purchase the wood for their projects. The costs vary depending on the project and type of wood. If a student decides not to keep the project, we can sell it as a fundraiser to cover the costs.
